Since 2016, I have been working in the wild and wonderful, whacky world of Film and T.V. in and around the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, British Columbia.

What a blast and a whirlwind it all is!

Seeing the sets come to life: From the Writers' works to the Art Department's designs, the Construction Department's drawings begin to build the wooden constructs, while the riggers set up all the metal pipe frame works for the Lighting department to do their thing, all in and around  the carpenters and the Paint Department, plasterers, sculptors, set painters and scenic painters and scenic artists and don't forget the very hard-working labourers who keep it all spinning....then on to the  Set Decorators, and Greens departments who fill the rooms and gardens with amazing things to have it all come together to create a believable environment for the Actors to step into to create their magic. Then it's time for the Producers, Directors and Camera crew. Working minimum 12 hour days, sometimes going 14 hours to get the shots, frequently wrapping in the dead of night.... And the diligent troops of Production Assistants, first on the sets and last to leave,  who coordinate the whole zoo and keep it contained and everyone happy! And the Teamsters! They drive these immense rigs around and park giant star trailers in impossible looking places.

It's all just amazing to me, and I am forever grateful to be able to be a part of it, having finally found a world where I can utilize the skillsets that come most naturally to me and be amongst all the incredibly hard working people that are of a similar creative mindset to me. My people!!

People ask me what I do and I tell them, "I paint movie sets," which I think must sound kind of glamorous,  but most days I come home filthy and exhausted and completely happy after 10 hour shifts in a construction zone,  Never the same thing, each day a different challenge... sooo much fun.

And lots of paint. Yay! ... And then I step over to the On Set crew along with an on set carpenter, usually 2 on set set decorators, and a one on set person from the Greens department, where we scurry around at the direction on the visionaries in the producers tent and do all the last minute tweaking before the cameras roll...

Anyway, due to the signing of Non-disclosure agreements (NDA's) on the start-up of each show, I

am unable to post specific photos of the things I have worked on, which have been many and varied by this time, but I can share this list of shows that I have worked on and the category that I was employed in.
